We started with a full review of the business’ existing marketing tools and strategies. We analysed each one to assess its strengths and weaknesses. Once these had been considered, we came up with ideas to capitalise on the strengths and suggestions to repair weaknesses, with everything being included in a detailed plan that BSFS could refer to over the course of the next 12 months to make sure everything was on track and to be able to prioritise the next points of focus.
With the strategy being an ongoing process, we broke it down, beginning with refreshing the companies branding to make it feel more modern and dynamic. We have since moved on to improving their online presence, by making sure visually it is consistent, strong and in all of the right places. This includes the development of their existing website, which is a project that remains ongoing, their social media content as well as redesigning their email signatures, business cards and letterhead so the more commonly seen communication materials matched the new branding.

BNI Genesis is a networking group that meets each week in Wirral.
The aim of the group is to build trust and strong relationships between the members so they can promote each others businesses with confidence. With a room of fellow businesses acting like your sales team, the challenge is for them to find you work and you likewise for them.
Our managing director, Mark Pollard was appointed President of the group in October 2018, with a view to growing the group and increasing the business passed.

There were 18 members and approximately £700K in business had been passed in the preceding 12 months.
The aim was to stamp Mark’s identity and style on the group in a way which added value to the brand and made the members part of the new chapter in the groups history.

When assessing how to meet the challenge we identified that each BNI group in the region had its own name and culture. It was decided that we would provide a ‘Genesis’ brand, identity and culture which the members could embrace as their own, feel involved and be proud to promote their involvement with the group.
We created a supplemental logo to go with the existing BNI branding, allowing both to be displayed hand-in-hand. The weekly meeting agenda was also modified to include new features, exclusive to the group which would add fun and entertainment to the meeting. This was to make the meeting feel less arduous but without detracting from the important focus on passing work.
To attract new members we created engaging social media graphics and set up pages on all the major platforms to improve the chances of people seeing our invitations and raising the profiles of our members.
To ensure the fun element was balanced with a clear air of professionalism, we created branded materials to be used at every meeting. We created branded banners to guide people into the venue, meeting note sheets, name badges and place holders which were bespoke for each member and visitor, displaying their name, business and logo. This made them feel welcome and valued. We also designed a powerpoint presentation which mirrored the brand and professional approach, whilst also incorporating the fun vibe we wanted to generate.
We introduced a strategic means identify which trades and professionals we could pass most work to and tracked that value so as to be able to be specific about the opportunities joining presented and started a podcast to further increase the exposure of our members.
When Mark finished his term as president, the group had grown by 20% and the business passed had risen from £700K over a 12 month period to £1.2m. A further £3m had been identified as being passed out of the group and because of our tracking methods we were able to pinpoint the beneficiaries.

The Barn is not located on the main high street in the town in which is it located and so faces an even greater challenge in attracting footfall, whilst also competing in the busy online world. Our challenge was to help them find their voice in and amongst the cacophony of noise, whilst remaining true to their philosophies and beliefs.

To address the physical footfall issue we built them a brand which could then be used to promote its presence through signage, social media posts and printed advertisements. We provided supporting marketing materials for events they have hosted and promotional materials they can give out to customers to encourage them back.
At the same time, we have helped them to built a strong online offering to meet with modern demands. Customers can enjoy a very similar level of access to products and courses online, meaning they can still enjoy and support the venue from the comfort of their home. We have done with by developing their website to include additional products and services, providing the means to host online courses, promotional graphics and videos to promote these benefits and the designing of bespoke craft templates to sell.
The Barn can now generate custom on the physical and digital world, meaning they can meet the demand of a wider range of customers and adapt quickly to the seasons and high street climate.

We started by providing a marketing plan to allow us to maximise the budget available having regard to the challenges and requirements within the industry.
Once we fully understood the sector we created a brand identity and logo which would form the foundations of any future marketing elements. The style was clean, professional and modern in line with our brief.
Having created a foundation upon which to build, we designed a website that would fully exhibit the range of services, along with a brochure that could be printed or electronically sent to prospective clients. This would allow them to educate prospects in the benefits of their services which are perhaps so niche and unique they are not necessarily fully understood.
We have also created a social media identity, along with video and graphic content and supplied them with branded clothing and equipment which means when they are out on site, people who stand and watch the drone with interest, also see the name of the company, which may lead to future opportunities.
We continue to work with Squadrone Media on an ongoing basis to help build up their customer base and to meet their marketing requirements as they grow.

Cheshire Lines Football Club (locally known as ‘the Chesh’) was formed in 1874 as a representative team of what was then British Rail. It later became Cheshire Lines when British Rail ceased to exist in 1997.
The club was relaunched in 2015 and since then its teams have won 2 league titles, 2 league cups and achieved 2 promotions.
The club was a founding member of the Liverpool Football Association and consequently holds a prestigious senior club status with the FA. We also carry the FA’s Chartered Standard mark of excellence.
The team play open age football in Division 2 of the West Cheshire League, which is tier 12 in the FA system.

The number of teams in Merseyside has reduced by more than 60% in the last 10 years as fewer young people participate or commit to the sport due to increased alternative forms of entertainment. At the same time, the costs of running a club, hiring facilities and buying equipment has continued to increase, leaving clubs facing greater expenses at a time when they have fewer players.
We wanted to help support Cheshire Lines in addressing these specific issues by creating ways in which they could attract more players and retain them longer within the club.
We also believe the best way to generate more financial support was to build long-standing commercial relationships with local businesses.

To tackle the attraction and retention of players, we focused on creating unique content which made the club stand out from their competitors. Bespoke, high-quality graphics, highlights, podcasts and mobile app allowed for existing players to remain involved in the goings-on at the club whether they were physically present or not. Prospective players would see this content and recognise the clubs professional approach to all aspects of the game and this might potentially be the deciding factor over joining them or a competitor.
Having built an engaged audience across the full spectrum of social media and online platforms, and creating a multitude of assets/features which allowed for monetisation, we were able to put together packages to attract commercial partners. These packages specifically set out the benefits that would be enjoyed in return for financial investment and gives them the peace of mind that handing over money would not be the end of the relationship.
It was important to build a philosophy of prioritising the generation of work for commercial partners so as to build a mutually beneficial long-term relationship. This would ensure future partnerships were generally in addition to as opposed to replacing financial support.
Our initial brief has been achieved and we now continue to build and approve upon what is already in place to add further value to the club and its future success.

The original website had been built on a budget and without the mindset of building a brand style. It also no longer reflected the size and experience of the company in its present form.

We started by creating brand guidelines such as colours, fonts and imagery. We then applied this to the likes of Myriad’s social media platforms. We also updated their marketing materials such as presentation brochures, pull-up banners and media boards. This began to develop a brand style which we were then able to apply to the website.
To make the site more dynamic we create video montages to detail the benefits of each service Myriad offer. These videos were then modified by us to include music and branded graphics which enabled the client to utilise them in presentations and on social media.
We also built the site in a way that allowed for it to be developed quickly and easily to accommodate the future plans which we had discuss as ideas with the client to further utilise its potential functionality.

Paddock are based in Huddesfield, West Yorkshire and cater for children between the ages of 2-11 years old. They aim to create a happy and caring atmosphere which welcomes and supports all pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
We were initially asked to provide unique drone footage of the school and its grounds for their new website.
During the project we identified a need for their school badge to be modernised to reflect the modern, creative and exciting style of the school and informational materials . to better portray this to parents of prospective pupils.

It was important that the new school badge maintained an element of continuity to the original so as to allow a gradual transition from old to new.
This was particularly important in helping children feel less isolated if they were wearing a school jumper with the old badge. We also believed it was important the pupils, parents, as well as teachers and staff had an input into which of the concept designs we put forward to create a feeling of ownership and affinity.
When designing the new school prospectus, it was important that we considered the needs of the local community and in particular the fact that many parents whose children attend the school do not have English as their first language. This meant the content could not be text heavy, but must still contain important information they would need to make an informed decision about the school. We also wanted the style and imagery to properly reflect the staffs modern and creative approach to education.

You will see from the comparison image that the logo bears a good similarity to the original but with a modern twist.
The school already had some lovely imagery of the children and school which we were able to use In the prospectus to save incurring additional expense. This allowed us to produce a clean, bright and aesthetically pleasing brochure for the parents. Key information was highlighted using those colours to Draw attention to the facts, With additional information being present but not in an over facing manner.
With the new logo and drone footage we were also able to create social media graphics and a more structured brand style which the school have been able to use going forward. This has allowed them to present a more professional and befitting visual image both online and in the physical form.
