THE SOLUTION

We started by recommending a Customer Avatar assessment to help them really drill down into who they wanted to target as prospective subscribers, why they wanted those people, where they would find them, and how they might engage with them to ultimately achieve their goals.

After completing this analysis, we recommended that we look at their brand identity, which we agreed was confusing and inconsistent. Our recommendation was to establish a brand style which matched the light hearted, dynamic style of the face of the business, the owner, Andy Whitehead. We created thumbnails for the YouTube videos and logo animations which would add a final professional element to what was already very well produced videos.

To maximise the videos being put on their channel, we recommended using key words and hashtags that would appeal to their chosen target audience. We also advised them to utilise social media as a way of grabbing the attention of prospective subscribers on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. The increased number of channels being used would improve the chances of coming across people who might not otherwise find them on YouTube.

Finally, we helped setup their pages, created brand consistent profile banners, created a social media content planner and templates for brand styled posts, so the client knew what to post, when to post it, and even had the ability to created their own top quality graphics.

THE SOLUTION

Justice for Tenants did not want, nor need any frills. They are a non-profit organisation, their name says exactly what they do, and they wanted their logo and marketing materials to follow suit.

We did an number of logo designs, and the one they chose included a house icon which incorporated the JFT initials of their name. The iconography very much reflects the clear message of ‘what they do’.

In terms of brand design for their documentation, we simply used the the shape of the roof from the logo as the geometric shape to provide a bit of style and colour. The font is deliberately clear and easy to read, to all the documents to feel less cluttered and digestible in a way that caters for the variety of people who will use their services.

THE SOLUTION

We started by looking at the colour scheme, to utilise palettes that would be more in keeping with Inner Solutions sector and services. The purple and green colours chosen are psychologically associated with calmness, responsibility, new beginnings and creativity.

We then focus on an icon and font style that would mirror these attributes. The rounded corners of the logo and spacing of the letters of the font compliment these elements.

The design of marketing materials, workbooks and other company assets pulled together all of the above, with imagery to reflect the positive nature of the training courses they provide.

We continue to assist with the development of the company’s branding under our retainer services. A marketing strategy and work plan are being implemented to allow this ongoing work within the budget of the business.

We were asked to design an information booklet that would be handed out to all parents and coaches detailing the time and location of each fixture.

THE SOLUTION

With there being no brand guidelines save for the business logo (or badge as it is properly better described), we were asked to provide a design based with no specific direction.

We pulled the gold and black from the badge to act as brand colours, but otherwise created a design that included fonts and layouts which could act as the start of a brand style going forward.

We ensured each age group page had the means for people to easily fill in the scores to keep track of things, as well as two full page adverts for the event sponsors which were done in their own brand colours. The white background of the other pages meant these stood out well and grabbed the attention of the reader.

The scope for creativity for the trifold was limited by the content that needed to be on there and the existing branding they used. We therefore kept the layout of the content as clean and simple as possible.

The same can be said for the Zoom background. We used a similar design to the decals they had on their vans to offer a stylish backdrop.

We felt that a modern, high-end feel to the business would send out the right message to prospective customers.

Given the potentially high levels of funds involved in transactions, prospective clients need to perceive the company as being able to meet and deliver on their needs.

Dark colours suggest high end and blue is a renowned colour for reflecting professionalism, expertise and trust. The font we used was slim, elegant, but strong enough to match the expectations of a customer. We wanted people to look at the branding and imagine a pristinely suited expert at the cutting edge of their sector.

The icon element of the logo is a V & F combined as a geometric shape. The straight lines, pointed corners and futuristic design was intended to match the intensions of the colours and font, whilst also giving the impression that this was a no-nonsense outfit, who would sort out whatever you needed in the most efficient, effective way possible.

THE SOLUTION

Athletes are experts in their field, but few are great with their own branding. Getting high quality images of the athletes was very difficult. Either they had none, they had a few they had bought from professionals at their competitions, or the best belonged to a third party. This meant we needed to find a way of being able to use great images, but in a way where we were not dependant upon having loads, but still being able to portray the prestige of the athletes.

We therefore created ‘Bitmoji’ characters for each athlete. A bespoke cartoon-like character of them which could be used on all their promotional materials and merchandise. This meant we only needed 4 or 5 good images to emphasise their standing within their field. The Bitmoji characters were also a great way to capture the attention of the children.

We also scrapped the previous designs for the sponsorship packs, marketing materials and stationary and replaced it with sleek new designs that also incorporated colourful animations when needing to appeal to kids.

With video being an important element of their marketing mix, we also created a logo animation that would allow them to cap off promo videos in a professional manner. A good example is the collated video we edited for them during COVID-19, using phone videos taken by some of their athletes to promote the online service they were launching to adapt to the difficult circumstances they were experiencing.

THE CHALLENGE

THE SOLUTION

When you talk about holidays, everybody has their own idea of what that a perfect one looks like. A young, newly married couple may want an adventure of a lifetime on a budget, a family just want somewhere the kids can go away to play whilst the parents get some welcome R&R, or someone wants to fulfil a bucket list dream! Imagery is therefore the most dramatic, effective and easiest way to instantly peak someone’s interest.. We wanted the imagery to be front and centre… the star if you will. This would allow them to simply change the imagery to suit the type of holiday they were selling, the attract that particular target market, and at the time of year those types of holidays were at their most popular.

Most people see holidays sold by Perfect Getaways as a treat. We therefore decided to use their lovely, colourful logo to ‘unveil’ the holiday in a way much like unwrapping a present or opening a curtain to reveal the gift and showcase the latest offerings. The purple, which forms their main brand colours kept the brand continuity as against the multi-coloured imagery, but whilst also allowing the image to remain front and centre.

Henry (Churnavsky) Churney, has always had an interest in comedy and started doing stand up in late 2014.

His debut as a stand up came after doing a comedy course with Sam Avery at Radio City. The first gig was at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool. No not on the main stage but in a small room beneath the main stage but he was hooked!

Since then Henry has also written a book and launched his own podcast, both with the title ‘With all Jew Respect’ about Jewish stand-up comedians from the UK and US.

The book is about Henry and was written by Henry. It therefore made perfect sense to make his the star of the cover show!

Henry provided us with some professionally taken pictures of him doing stand-up which gave us the basis of our design. Amazon allows for books to be categorised and so this would always end up in the comedy section. A picture of him doing stand-up would instantly give people the understanding of what it is about, and the title added context and perspective.

In fact it was a case of keeping things simple and letting the title and image do all the work.

The Grassroots Network was a brand new business concept and needed branding from the foundation up.

We were tasked with creating a logo and brand style that would be eye-catching. professional, and portray the subject matter quickly and in a way so as to appeal to their target audience – those being people involved in the grassroots game, from referees, league representatives, clubs, coaches and players.

The guys also wanted to launch a podcast talking all things ‘Grassroots football’ but had not idea where to start.

THE SOLUTION

The name of the business gave us the basis of the brand design. Grass is an essential component to the game. The look and smell evoke memories of sporting triumphs, failures, happy times and sad ones. It creates a feeling of being outdoors, the wind in your face, the sun on your skin. It is what is used from the best leagues in the world to toddlers and was the perfect visual basis.

As for the logo, well the font we used is quite strong. We wanted it to represent the goalposts used in sports. It is modern, giving the impression of a forward facing company, but solid and dependable, like those who prop up the grassroots game.

It was important the icon element could stand alone as a favicon, allowing it to be put onto clothing. Again, we carried the green grass theme into this single continuous letter. We merged them for stylistic reasons, but in a way that means the white spaces still allows the eye to picture the vertical element of the R so it is clearly recognisable as a letter.

For the podcast, we created the show artwork and recorded/edited the shows drops (intros & outros) to ensure it had a professional production value. We also spent time with the client to train them on what equipment to buy, how to use it and how to record/edit.
